What safety material for semi-rigid boats?

The first thing to know is that the rules of security equipment will depend on the area in which you navigate.
Safety equipment at sea
For sea navigation, the compulsory equipment to be expected depends on the distance with the side (or more exactly, distance from a "shelter"), depending on 4 distinct zones:
- Basic : Less than 2 nautical miles of a shelter (less than 3.7 km)
- Coastal: Between 2 and 6 miles (3.7 km - 11.1 km)
- Semi-haututress: Between 6 and 60 miles (11.1km to 111km)
- Hauturière: beyond 60 miles (more than 111km)

Interior water safety equipment
Regarding navigation in soft water / interior waters, there are 3 categories:
- Interior waters sheltered : These are all the outdoor water bodies listed below.
- Interior waters exposed : more dangerous, these areas are subject to a separate regulation, and its listsAnnex 1 of the decree of February 10, 2016. Examples: rivers or rivers sections (Rhine, Seine, Rhône, Loire), rivers or sections of rivers (Dordogne, Gironde, Somme), lakes (Annecy, Lacanau, Bourget), Canals (Calais Canal).
- Lake Geneva : only applicable to cross -border lake.

Sauge vests (individual buoyancy equipment)
EIFs are also regulated and must be adapted to the morphology of each on -board person, as well as to the navigated area:
- Up to 2 miles from a shelter : Assistance to the buoyancy of at least 50 Newtons
- Up to 6 miles from a shelter : Laundry vest of at least 100 Newtons
- All areas : Life vest of at least 150 Newtons
- Children less than 30 kg : Life vest of at least 100 newtons, regardless of the distance from a shelter.
